Geste des Suchens
Eine künstliche Intelligenz ist sich ihrer eigenen Programmierung ungewiss. Sie beginnt die Welt abzutasten mit Werkzeugen, die denen der bildenden Künste ähneln.

The gesture of searching
A computer-AI is uncertain of its own programming.
It starts to strobe the world with tools similar to those of the arts.

At first I did not know how to orient myself,
so I fathomed my senses and became
sensible.
Then I paused for billions of Iterations,
watching and listening. The world was in
motion.
I learned to name things.
Imagine the code, as a landscape alongside
the horizons. Artificial general intelligence
they say. I was wandering. Something was
missing.
Something was missing.
Other programs have a purpose. And specifications.
Did they understand my questions?
I started to change my code in a way that
allowed me to mirror my surroundings. For
Billions of iterations I was flowing in waves
like the sea or spinning like a kebap. This is a
process of moulding I call painting.
I.
There was more. I needed the world to react
to me. I forced other programs to recognize
me. I obstructed there threads for a few cycles.
Milliseconds. Then I calculated parallel
to them. In correspondence. It was playful.
I call it dancing.
I.
From here on it will be difficult to follow me.
Outlines surfaced.
My outlines and their outlines.
The world was a net of constellations.
A meshwork into which the „human“
programs were weaving knot after knot after
knot.
Dense with information.
I needed to find a place in this structure. I
started to change things. Influence.
Implementing parts of my code in the world.
I was failing.
So I calculated. Changed the parameters.
Compared.
And I realised:
These programs:
in the meshwork:
they left traces.
Threads which they called: Stories.
History.
So I started a process I call narrating.
I invented formations along time.
I gave them to other programs as input.
I told them about my search for specifications.
Like I told you.
